2017 May Student of the Month
The designation of Student of the Month is awarded to only a few students who embody the spirit, determination and drive that it takes to earn the admiration and respect of the Ogden High School community. This month’s honoree is Hallie Wirth.
Hallie is the daughter of Dennis Wirth, Michelle Uthe and step dad Bruce Uthe. Hallie has one brother Hunter Wirth, one step brother, Joe Uthe and family, and two step sisters, Nicole Bollenbaugh and family and Michelle Duncan and family.
Though soft-spoken, Hallie speaks volumes in her willingness to get involved and a caring nature to help others. She is the person sitting next to you who notices you need help understanding and offers to explain, sees you struggling to accomplish a task and lends a hand, senses your nervousness to speak and offers a word of encouragement. She is a good friend, mentor, voice of reason and has an inspiring work ethic.
High school achievements and activities include: Membership in the National Honor Society with an impressive 3.99 GPA. Student Council Member for four years, Senior Leader and three years in chorus. Hallie has helped backstage for plays and productions, was a Homecoming float builder all four years of high school and coordinated the parade for Homecoming. An enthusiastic volunteer with Hospitality & Tourism Class community events and a Donor of Distinction – Red Cord – LifeServe Blood Center.
Hallie works at Seven Oaks Recreation in the winter and Randall Corporation in the summer. Her hobbies include a love of snowboarding, hanging with friends, swimming, entertaining nieces and nephews, playing with her dogs, Jazzmyn and Diesel, shopping and going to movies.
Hallie has been accepted into Iowa State University College of Human Sciences and plans to major in Hospitality Management.
All best wishes for a very bright future, Hallie! We at Ogden High School know your determination to succeed will take you far and the world is a kinder, more caring place with you in it.
