2017 November Student of the Month
Fall is a busy time for November’s Student of the Month, Patrick Glenn! He has been all over the place preparing back-to-school activities, organizing homecoming events for the student body and senior class, rehearsing for All State, working in the CMS concession stand, coaching U6 Soccer, performing at the Fall Vocal Concert, constructing sets and scenery for the musical, and working at Wall-Mart! What more can this kid fit into his schedule???
Patrick loves being busy and helping out his school and community whenever there is an opportunity! He is such a great worker and volunteer; he devotes most of his time to all of these endeavors making him an ideal candidate for student of the month. The dedication and time Patrick gives to the school is commendable. Patrick is not only busy with CMS, Art Club, Student Council, vocal music and theatre, and Bulldog Nation; he has volunteered outside of school as well. He has helped with the Special Olympics the last three years and he has coached spring and fall U6 Soccer. He has been a blood donor, helped with the local LEGO League and has been part of the School Improvement Advisory Committee. Highlight activities for Patrick include the organizing of the Color Run during Fun Days and the Care For Casey’s Fundraiser. Patrick is always giving back to make his school and community a great one to be part of!
His work ethic, participation and commitment have also earned many honors and recognitions for Patrick including: Honor Roll, Academic Achievement, #1 Awards, Most Improved Vocalist, and Judge’s Awards for art. He is currently serving as a district leader for Bulldog Nation designing and executing plans and activities for student leadership and mentorship.
When Patrick isn’t at school, you might find him working at Wal-Mart or hanging with friends and family. Many memories have been shared with his friends going to movies, playing games, baking, riding bikes, listening to music, running to Boone for a DQ or late night McD’s and just hanging out! Patrick plans on attending a college/university to study PR/Communications. His family includes him mom, Leslie, his step-dad, Steve, his dad, Mark, brother Nick, step-brothers, Carter and Matt, and step-sister, Libby.
Congratulations Patrick; we wish you the best!!!
