2018 February Student of the Month

Madison Motz is the February Student of the Month for Ogden High School! She is a dreamer, a doer, and a take-charge leader. She is active both in and out of school and makes a positive impact through all she does. Madison is the daughter of Dustin Wilkinson and Denise Holladay and has a younger sister, Natalie.

Madison embodies what it means to be a great leader in a small school. She serves OHS as the Student Body President and is a District Senior Leader. She is active on Student Council where she has helped coordinate the Color Run and the Care for Casey fundraiser. Madison is a dedicated member of the CMS Club where she helped create a sleep deprivation study and frequently works in the concession stand. When games aren’t at home, she enjoys traveling to them with friends. While at OHS, Madison has participated in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Pep Band. She served on the Leadership Team for Marching Band as Woodwind Captain and Uniform Captain. Madison was selected twice to represent OHS in the WCAC Honor Band. Having performed solos and been a member of many ensembles, Madison has received numerous Division 1 ratings at music contest. She makes our school better by being a great role model!

Madison is resourceful, creative, inventive, and a critical thinker who is not afraid to run with an idea. With that mindset, she has designed and built sets for drama productions at Ogden, both school and community shows. She has been instrumental in decorating for events at OHS including Homecoming and Prom. Those who work with her would say she is a visionary leader who will plan, organize and facilitate a project to the end. Madison also serves as a coach for the Ogden U6 Soccer Club and is involved as a mentor for younger Ogden students. Outside of school, she manages to find time to work at Lake Robbins Ballroom and volunteer at the ISU Lego Competition.

Madison has a bright future ahead. Currently, she plans to study psychology at either Drake or UNI. She will be successful in whatever she chooses. She is a remarkable student and a role model who sets the bar high for others to follow. Congratulations, Madison, for being named February Student of the Month at OHS! Bravo!
