October Student of the Month
October 25, 2007
Scott Larson is active and shows tremendous leadership,
commitment and work ethic in many areas including academics,
athletics, music, drama, church activities and of course the many
friendships he has acquired. Ask any faculty member about students
who are good role models and Scott's name will be mentioned at the
top of the list. These attributes make him a great candidate for
October Student of the Month.
Academics are a high priority for Scott who is a member of the
National Honor Society. He also participates in track and football
where he is a three-year letter winner in both sports and was voted
team captain in football.
Scott excels in both vocal and instrumental music by participating
in chamber choir, show choir, jazz band and serving as the marching
band drum major. He is also involved with large group and
individual speech and spends time on stage participating in Ogden
High School's plays, musicals and Community Theatre.
His life is guided through his strong convictions and faith. Scott
is active in Bulldog Builders, Bulldog Blitz, Chrysalis and Water's
Edge Church. In addition to living out his faith in the community,
he has also ventured to Mississippi twice to help with the
hurricane disaster area and to Jamaica to help at an orphanage.
His future includes attending a four-year university to major in
humanities.
Scott is the son of Rich and Kim Larson. He has three older
sisters, Mary, Amy and Mandy.
