We went to Living History Farms on Friday and had a great time. In the town Walnut Hill, we saw the General Store, Cabinetmaker, Broom Shop, and the Millinery. We also saw the Tangen House, which is a modern home in 1875.
We toured all three farms. I liked the 1900s farm the best because we could see all of the livestock. I also liked the wood burning stove, but couldn't imagine cooking with it. Microwaves and ovens are easier.
Congratulations to everyone in the class for earning the Ready Reader Award for Accelerated Reader. Everyone has earned at least 5 points.
Last week we ran the mile in p.e. We have one more test to complete for our fitness test.
The Halloween party is this Friday. We can bring costumes.
