January Student of the Month

At the beginning of this new year, Ogden High is proud to present as student of the month Colton Good. Colton is an extraordinarily well-balanced and well-loved member of OHS. Colton’s character and perseverance is unwavering and he leads and encourages by example. In athletics, at every practice and every game Colton is engaged and encouraging. Whether in the middle of the action or from the sidelines, Colton pushes himself and supports his teammates to be the very best. If your impression of Colton is now what a serious young man he must be, then you don’t know Colton. When you hear his contagious laughter booming throughout Ogden High, you can’t help but laugh with him. Colton has a sense of humor and wit about him that is unmatched. Colton has a dedication to family, friends, community, and school and OHS is a better place with Colton in it. That is why Colton has earned the honor of being the first OHS Student of the Month of 2010.
Academically Colton has earned honor roll status every semester at Ogden High while taking on such classes as Physics, Statistics, and college level Composition and Calculus. He has been involved in student government and has been a member of Homecoming court.
During his high school career Colton has been a major participant in theater and vocal music, which has included Chamber Choir, Show Choir, All-State Auditions, and Solo and Ensemble Contest. Colton has also been an avid athlete involved in football, wrestling, track and baseball and is a member of the Community United Methodist Youth Group.
Colton is the son of Chuck and Sally Good. He has three brothers, Chandler who is a junior at Wartburg College, Cody, a freshman at OHS, and Cayce who is in the seventh grade. Colton’s grandparents are Ray and Millie Henriksen and Marilyn Good, all of Ogden.
Colton can be found running around on his jumping stilts and enjoys bicycling to the extent of spending summers working at the bike barn and traveling across the state participating in RAGBRAI. Colton plans to remain in Iowa to attend a four-year college.
Colton has set his goals high for today and tomorrow. He is a wonderful young man who is fully engaged in life. OHS is proud to have Colton as a student, friend, and member of the OHS family.
