DMACC Information for Ogden High School Students for Fall 2010

The following dates will be opportunities for current OHS students to find out about programs and registration information from DMACC for the fall semester. Some programs are at the campus in Ames and some are for the campus in Boone. The campus in Ames focuses on technical trades such as criminal justice, carpentry, auto, and nursing. The Boone campus focuses primarily on core areas such as math, science, social studies, English.
Tuesday, February 2 – Staff from Ames campus will present about program specifics and get initial lists of students interested.
Tuesday, February 9 – registration for those students interested in attending a program at Ames DMACC campus due to harbor teacher or office
Tuesday, March 2 – Shelby Hildreth, Boone DMACC admissions representative, will present to juniors about courses/programs available through Boone campus. She will also explain specifics of plan to have students take DMACC placement test and visit classes of interest of a potential major.
March 23-26 – Students will take COMPASS (DMACC placement test) and visit classes of interest at Boone campus
April 19-23 – OHS juniors need to submit registration to Mr. Dutcher for Fall 2010 DMACC classes offered through Boone campus
