January Student of the Month
by Ken Vigdal
Liz Carter brings all her strengths to all endeavors she engages in. Because of who Liz is, she has changed the face of Ogden High School. Liz transferred to Ogden early in high school. Her multiple moves through junior high and early high school helped develop maturity that allowed her to grow exponentially during her high school career here.
Liz understands selflessness well. She has single-handedly brought a positive aura to the high school through her efforts in student council, volleyball, track and impromptu service efforts such as the holiday food drive.
Liz has played a key role in continuing the effectiveness of the student ambassador program. These students give up their time to help transition students at events such as 8th grade orientation in the spring; 9th grade kickoff the day before school; and any time a new student enters Ogden High School.
Faith and her spiritual life are key to who Liz is easily seen in her involvement in church youth activities and Bulldog Builders. Working at Sunstream Retreat Camp may be on one level a job. For Liz, it serves more as a tool for service.
Congratulations to Liz, January Student of the Month.
