Iowa Department of Public Health Guidance

March 13, 2020

The Ogden School District is in ongoing contact with Boone County Public Health and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) - Coronavirus. We also follow guidelines and best practices from those entities and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) - Coronavirus when it comes to responding to public health concerns, including Coronavirus and the flu. Furthermore, we are coordinating with other Boone County and Iowa school districts to ensure a cohesive response in the education system. Should there be recommendations or updates from county and state health officials, the district will turn to the IDPH and CDC and follow any updated guidelines.

Prevention measures for colds, influenza, and COVID-19 are the same. Here is a link to an FAQ from the IDPH: 2019 Novel Coronavirus FAQ for Schools.
