Ogden Community Schools Welcomes a New Therapy Dog Program
Ogden Community School District is excited to partner with the Ogden Alumni Association and CARES, Inc. to bring a meaningful new therapy dog program to our schools.
Therapy dogs can provide comfort, encouragement, and a calming presence for students and staff. In the classroom, a trained therapy dog may help create a welcoming environment, support students as they practice reading, encourage positive interactions, and provide comfort during times of stress or emotional need.
Working alongside trained handlers and school staff, therapy dogs are carefully integrated into the school environment. Their presence can offer students opportunities to build confidence, practice social and emotional skills, and develop positive connections in a safe and supportive setting.
We are grateful to the Ogden Alumni Association and CARES, Inc. for their partnership and support in making this exciting opportunity possible. We look forward to the positive impact this program will have on our students, staff, and the entire Ogden school community.
