I grew up in Ogden and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to establish my career in the community that shaped me. While attending Iowa State University, I was fortunate to secure a coaching position for Junior High Boys Basketball. After graduating Iowa State University, a teaching position opened up as well. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading and assisting in a variety of activities, from Junior High to High School levels. Currently, I serve as the Head Coach for the High School Girls Basketball team, as well as coaching football and Shot/Discus for both boys and girls track. My diverse coaching roles have allowed me to foster student-athletes' growth and development across multiple sports, and I remain committed to providing a positive impact both on and off the field.

Ethan Bailey is an Ogden graduate and the Chief of Police For the Ogden Police Department. Before working for Ogden, Chief Bailey worked with the Boone Police Department where he served as a patrol officer, general crimes investigator, and school resource officer. When he started working in Ogden he began offering services for the school district and became a part-time school resource officer for the Ogden Community School District in addition to his other duties with the Ogden Police Department. Chief Bailey lives in Ogden with his 2 sons.

I joined the Ogden Schools staff in 2024, teaching business classes to middle and high school students. I enjoy bringing my diverse business background into the classroom and helping students develop their knowledge and passion for business.

In addition to teaching, I coach high school baseball. I'm an avid Nebraska Huskers fan and love participating in sporting activities with my family. My wife, Jamee, and I have four children, and we live in New Virginia, Iowa.

I pursued my passion for the arts, earning a degree in Art Education with an emphasis in Drawing from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree from Viterbo University. With 20 years of teaching experience spanning kindergarten to college-level courses, I bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to Ogden schools.

As a former collegiate wrestler, I enjoy sharing my skills by assisting with Bulldog Wrestling. As a professional artist, I’m passionate about inspiring creativity in students, leading initiatives like the high school’s art club.

Outside the classroom, I cherish time with my four children, love traveling with my fiancée, Nicole, and enjoy sharing my passion for visual arts by creating engaging content for my social media platforms.

I consider myself lucky to be a part of the Ogden Community School legacy, and I'm so blessed to have had the opportunities to serve so many wonderful students and families throughout my time here. I've developed lifelong friendships with colleagues that have become like additional members of our family.

I’m a small-town Iowa boy, born and raised. I graduated high school from the Colo-NESCO Community School District and went on to pursue my love for science and soccer at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. I started my career teaching physical science, chemistry, and physics, but eventually shifted to teaching computer science and robotics, which has been an exciting turn. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and participating in outdoor recreational activities like hiking, fishing, and hunting.

I take on leadership roles that enhance student achievement at high levels, including serving as a music booster member, science bowl coach, robotics team mentor, and sponsor for the computer, math, and science (CMS) program.

Outside of school, I enjoy baking, singing, exercising, quilting, and reading. I often share my personal hobbies with students to inspire and motivate them. Ever since I took Spanish in high school and visited Mexico, I have loved the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. That love is something I try to share with my students every day ! I especially love using music in my classroom. As Herbie Hancock said, " Music happens to be an art form that transcends language." I have helped coach JH Volleyball the past three years after taking a long hiatus from coaching to be a mom to Ben and Ty, who are both Ogden graduates. My husband Brian and I also help out with Ogden wrestling and track meets and attend a lot of other school events. We love our Bulldogs !

On warmer days, you might spot me walking our Bernadoodle Lola around town. I love to read anything that inspires me and lately I'm found reading memoirs. My hope is to instill a life long love of reading in my students and own daughters. I don't have specific hobbies, but I enjoy life and whatever it offers. Currently, I'm enjoying weight training, making healthy meals, spending time with my girls, and anything that grabs my attention. My goal is to encourage our students to be successful by promoting general health and wellness throughout the district.
